About MIT-Ukraine

In response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has launched a comprehensive MIT-Ukraine Program to serve as a hub for MIT’s innovative technological and humanitarian responses in support of the Ukrainian people.

In addition to fighting off the military invasion, creative technological solutions and innovation will be pivotal for Ukraine’s reconstruction and democracy-building for decades to come. MIT is perfectly positioned to mobilize students, faculty, and staff to participate in global efforts to preserve and rebuild Ukraine.

  • Share and disseminate information, knowledge, and resources
  • Conduct joint research, foster collaborative partnerships
  • Produce tangible outcomes at the cusp of Ukraine’s needs and MIT expertise

Initiatives

  • Internships: In-person and virtual internships engaging MIT students with Ukrainian ventures, NGOs, government, and universities
  • Applied Work: Faculty-led student projects on critical infrastructure, economic development, health, housing, and logistics
  • Scientific Collaboration: Professional connections and collaborative research among MIT researchers and educators and Ukrainian peers
  • United Voice: A hub for Ukraine-focused initiatives on the MIT campus: student groups, language and culture, awareness of current events
